10 months

Dear Gautam,

At 10 months, you weigh 8.790kgs and are at a height of 75cms. You have more than tripled your birth weight. Thank you for cooperating with me, nursing and eating so well. I would have been very worried otherwise. You have been standing up with support and cruising for the last two months and have already begun attempting to stand independently. I cannot wait to see you take your first steps. You take your vaccination shots like a pro. You are a brave brave boy. You call out to me- mamamamamma and it’s the most special I have ever felt in my entire life. Thank you. You have recently started dancing to some cacophonous songs. Here’s a demo

We call you by several names- Gautam, Gutlu, Gudlappo, Gogo, Crime master. You respond to all of them equally well. You say Ga, Ba, Ma, Pa, Bh, and we absolutely love it when you go Pka Pka Pka Pka! You have also started discovering piano keys

You have 4 teeth on the top and two at the bottom. So far, it seems like your favourite food is ragi, and you absolutely dislike egg, much to my chagrin. You are quite the adventurer, though you do not venture out into dark rooms by yourself. Here’s a video of you diving into my purse:

You mix with new people surprisingly well. You, my little baby, to this day have never left a single smile unreturned- even those of strangers, and I wish for you to keep smiling that beautiful smile ever so frequently. I love you.
