First tooth fell!

My little big man,

I didn’t write to you on your 5th, but I couldn’t miss this. You lost your first tooth today. It happened so suddenly, without any warning while brushing your teeth. I’m so overwhelmed. Not prepared for this. With your sister being around and so much happening, I wasn’t ready to be hit with this milestone without warning.

You’re afraid too. I understand my baby. But I’m hugging you so close tonight, and letting you know that I’ll be there fighting every monster with you.

Also, just an update here, you’re an ace reader now. Have been for a while. Much ahead of your class. Writing like a pro, all kinds of letters and cards. You’re shaping up beautifully, physically and mentally. What a beautiful imagination still. We need to exercise every morning, so as to make sure your posture develops right.

Through your morning exercise drills, your struggle to read and write, your determination to play chess, at this time, one word comes to mind to describe you- resilience. You’re a star. You know how to push back when it’s difficult. You have the courage to stand up for yourself and those around you. Last week, you reported a bunch of bullying elder boys to the police ( guard) and were completely unfazed by the mean things they said to you. You stood up for your peers. Both dadda and I were so proud.

We have such a long way to go, but I’m so happy about where we are today.

My baby. I love you.

Mamma
